When your computer refuses to power on, it can feel like everything has suddenly come to a stop. Before assuming it’s a serious hardware failure, there are several simple things you can check — and many of them fix the issue quickly.
At GZM Enterprises, we troubleshoot devices for clients daily. Below are the most common causes and the steps you can try before scheduling an appointment.
This may seem obvious, but it’s the #1 reason desktops don’t turn on.
For desktops:

Sometimes devices don’t respond because they’re stuck in a “sleep” or “hibernate” error.
Press and hold the power button for a full 10–15 seconds to force a shutdown, then press it again normally.
